Violence in Columbia blog #5
According to the FBI's annual crime report violence in Columbia decreased. They credit this decrease to the 2007 arrest of over sixty gamg and drug members. The only exception to this report was the increase in violence in Richland county. There burglary and motor vehicle theft.

Fallacy: Downy Ultra Scent Longevity
Based on The St. Martin's Handbook about fallacies, I found what I consider one. It is Downy Ultra: Scent longevity commercial. The commercial portrayed that this brand of Downy Ultra scent could last longer than any other brand. In the commercial the man had worn his clothes, and was about to wash his clothes. When this other man strolled over and smelled the man's dirty clothes. He believed that the man had already washed his clothes. In all actuality the scent from the Downy Utra brand would not have lasted after the man had worn his clothes. In reality a stranger would have never came up and smelled another person's dirty clothes. I believe that this commercial is a mixture of a visual fallacy and a logical fallacy. I believe it is a visual fallacy because it is a commercial, and they made it seem as if the Downy Ultra smelled unbelievable. I also believe that the commercial was a logical fallacy because it was common sense. If the gentleman clothes was that awsome than he would have never came to the laundry room to wash his clothes in the first place.

Myself as a Writer
Writing isn't one of my greatest skills. I'm not terrible at writing but I can improve greatly at many things. In my assignments I put many facts but I include many supporting claims to back up my statements. My true interest is in writing biographies, autobiographies and non-fiction about people and their lives. My writing skills are steadily improving and changing.
